POST REHAB/INJURY

The body is amazingly adaptive to the stresses put upon it, which is a good and bad thing. Many times the we develop maladaptive movement patterns that can be due to injury, lifestyle (ie sitting at the computer for extended periods), or biomechanical reasons. This requires specific corrective exercises and mobility drills in order to restore the ability to safely load the joints throughout body.

BEGINNER

This would include those who have had little to no strength training experience, but are otherwise pain free. Correctly learning foundational movement patterns is essential not only for building strength, but also in preventing acute and chronic injuries as you progress with any strength training program. At this stage, there is not a push to overload the muscle; instead, these are going to be movements that teach the body to place stress through multiple joints, while also safely stabilizing it.

ADVANCED

This includes those individuals who have established efficient movement patterns with full range of movement, and are now wanting to make physical and/or performance advances. It is at this point that more volume and load can be placed on the body in order to build muscle and utilize fat. With the increased demand being put on the body in this phase, it is important to be getting the correct nutrients and recovery.

SPORTS PERFORMANCE/

POWER

This phase of programming is for the more advanced individuals who have already built up a strong structural and movement pattern foundation, and now want to translate that into power. This is going include plyometric training, sports specific movements, and max load training.
